Hello All,
I never figured I would start a blog, but since I don't have time to build a real website, I will just blog. Also, like most people I hope I'll be able to keep in touch with people I can't normally talk to. This first entry is all about my new career. I say CAREER because I do not want a job and I hope that I will prosper with this new company. For those of you that do not know I left my long time position with the family business to clear my mind and straighten things out personally. In the zen-like state of unemployment I happened across a company called E.A. Langenfeld Assoc. from Des Plaines, IL. They were looking for set builders. I thought how wonderful to get back to my roots of the theatre!!!! Come to find out they do work for most of the large home centers and super centers in country. Great! A new challenge. I sent my resume in. 3 days later they called me for an interview ( approx time 20-25 mins, ended at 2 hrs, 8 mins) I was simply told that my information would be forwarded onto the "Big Guns" at corporate and someone would be in touch. That was last Monday. On Thursday I had my offer package!!! The background check had already begun and I had an open appointment for a drug test. Pee'd in a cup on Monday and yesterday I got the call I had been waiting for.

I start Monday the 7th. My direct territory or radius will be approximately 300 miles from my house, which includes: Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Virginia, Indiana, Michigan, Kentucky, and Canada for the most part. I will be directly responsible for Dept 29 ( Kitchen and Bath) displays at Home Depot. So when you go to your nearest Home Depot to look for your next shower, tub, toilet, sink, refrigerator, stove, etc. Be sure to remember me, because I just might have built the display.

Because I am not sure of the complete span of my confidentiality agreement, I will not list exactly where I will be or what I will be doing. This much I can tell you, I will be somewhere between Uniontown and Washington, PA this upcoming week.

Best wishes to all.

Congratulations! So happy for you!!! Hope that your timeline cleared up that dilema we were talking about on Tuesday. The stop in Bethel is right across from the South Hills Village Mall. Stop in & say hi to my friends @ Aveda. And grab some Betsy Ann chocolates while you're there!
